The Dust Devil small paint booth is a cross-draft spray paint booth designed to give the small shops the edge they need. Its compact size takes a minimum of space and delivers wonderful results. It is the ideal size for a bike shop, print shop, or small parts manufacturer. This booth can be adapted for wood working applications, food service and machine shops.

Dust Devil: Small Paint Booth

Air is cleaned as it enters the Dust Devil through the filter system in the two front doors. The air moves along the length of the interior of the booth and exits through the filter system located at the rear of the booth. The rear filters will remove solids as the air enters the exhaust plenum and is expelled through the ducts to the outside. This booth is provided complete with all necessary hardware to meet the applicable national requirements established by OSHA and the NFPA for paint booth construction.

Construction Features

Panels:

Panels are fabricated from 18-gauge galvanized steel precision punched on 6” centers for maximum rigidity. Panels are fastened together with 5/16'' bolts/nuts and are to be sealed with the provided caulk following assembly.

Illumination:

Lighting is provided by 48'' long, 4-tube, T-8, 32 watt, fluorescent type fixtures. Each is mounted behind tempered safety glass that is sealed from the interior of the spray booth with a continuous neoprene rubber gasket placed around the perimeter of the light window’s opening. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. This small paint booth will be supplied with three light fixtures. Standard voltage is 120/277v/single-phase. Note: Light bulbs are not supplied with booth.

Filtration:

Intake air filters rated by UL as Class 2 20”x20” and are EPA registered as environmentally safe.

Exhaust air filters are a fiberglass paint arrestor pads made specifically for the collection of paint overspray. These filters are UL rated as Class 2. A filter holding grid is provided for each filter cell. This small paint booth is provided with one set of filters.

A manometer is provided with the unit to monitor the filter resistance and thereby the filters life and efficiency.

Exhaust:

Tubeaxial type duct fans specifically designed and constructed for use in paint spray booths and similar applications is provided for exhaust. A precision balanced, fabricated, four-wing, aluminum non-sparking fan blade moves the air through the fan. Bearings are mounted in rubber isolators for smooth operation. The motor, drive and bearings are isolated from the exhaust air stream. This unit will utilize one 24'' diameter fan driven by a 3 HP motor (208/230/460V/3PH/60HZ), operating at 9,500 SCFM at ½” static pressure. Total air exhausted will be 9,500 SCFM at ½” static pressure

Optional Personnel Access Door:

One double wall 18-gauge galvanized steel personnel access door sized at 30” x 84” is provided pre-hung in a heavy gauge steel frame ready for mounting to the spray booth. The mounting hardware includes a panic type safety latch and 6’’ door pull.

The following may be required for your small paint booth but are not included by A-Frame in this proposal (unless specifically quoted): Installation, wiring, plumbing, fire protection, taxes and permits.

Code Compliance:

All A-Frame Spray Booths are designed to meet or exceed the requirements and recommendations of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Standard Number 33 dated 2008, as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) CFR 29.1910.107 covering the operation and construction of spray booths.

Warranty:

A-Frame Paint Booths warrants to buyer that the equipment will be free from defects of materials or workmanship under normal use and maintenance for a period of one year. All components supplied but not produced by A-Frame Paint Booths shall carry the warranty of the manufacturer.
